Raphael McNealy Sr answered God’s call into ministry as a preacher at the age of 15 at Gospel Light Christian Camp. Raphael has served as an ordained associate pastor at Calvary Baptist Church of Union Grove since March 2024. He was born and raised in the inner city of Charlotte, and trusted Christ as his Savior on May 15, 2011 at the age of 15.

He married his wife, Stephanie, in 2017 in Charlotte, NC and immediately began serving together in Charlotte with youth ministry, bus ministry, deaf ministry, music ministry, food pantry, children’s church, prison ministry, Collegians for Christ at UNCC, and as music director for 8 years in Charlotte.

 

Raphael enjoys time with his family, playing/coaching basketball, and mentoring teenagers at the Boys and Girls Club of Cabarrus County. He and his wife, Stephanie, have three young children: RJ, Naomi, and Gabriella, who enjoy learning about Jesus. Raphael loves expository preaching of the King James Bible and finds deep fulfillment in serving Jesus and others at Calvary Baptist Church of Union Grove.
